How to Apply Nuvanail Press-On Nails

What You'll Need

• Your Nuvanail set
• Nail glue (included) or adhesive tabs
• The included prep pad and nail file

Step 1: Prep Your Nails (60 seconds)

This is the most important step. Proper prep = longer wear.

• Lightly buff the surface of each natural nail with the buffer — this removes shine and creates adhesion
• Push back your cuticles gently
• Wipe each nail with the prep pad to remove any oils. Do not touch your nails after this step

Step 2: Size Your Nails

Before applying any glue, lay out all 10 nails you'll use and match each one to your finger. The nail should fit from side wall to side wall with no gap. When in doubt, go slightly smaller — a nail that's too wide will lift at the edges.

Step 3: Apply

With nail glue (recommended for longest wear):

• Apply a very small dot of glue to your natural nail — not the press-on
• Align the press-on nail to your cuticle
• Press down firmly from the cuticle edge downward, applying consistent pressure
• Hold for 30 full seconds

With adhesive tabs (damage-free option):

• Peel a tab and apply it to your natural nail
• Align the press-on and press firmly for 30 seconds

• Avoid getting nails wet for the first hour after application
• Apply a thin layer of topcoat over the seam for extra durability
• Avoid using your nails as tools — use the pads of your fingers instead

How to Remove

Soak in warm water for 5–10 minutes. Gently slide nails off from the side. Apply cuticle oil after removal to nourish your natural nails.
